Our Story
Since Andersen Caledonia’s origin in 1997 we have continuously advanced the methods used for infection prevention and contamination control to combat the ever-evolving microbiological and environmental challenges faced by our customers. Our professional, friendly and flexible customer service approach enables us to handle complex problems with skill and efficiency. While located in the UK our customer base is global and covers all areas of the healthcare industry. Today, through strategic growth and continual innovation, Andersen Caledonia is the largest independent sterilisation organisation in the UK.
We have two large Ethylene Oxide (EO) sterilisation chambers and two steam sterilisation chambers which are continuously in operation enabling us to process large volumes of product quickly and cost effectively, achieving our rapid standard turnaround times.
We operate two microbiological laboratories, based in Scotland (Lanarkshire) and England (Stafford), running a wide range of tests to support environmental monitoring and medical device testing across the healthcare industry and beyond. Our laboratories have a wide range of ISO/IEC 17025 UKAS accredited test methods. Andersen Caledonia’s Class 5 Cleanroom provides contract sterile packing of instruments, manufacturing of bespoke procedure packs and single-use surgical instrument kits.
Our Technical Department continues to innovate our rapidly expanding business. As tighter regulations impose increasingly stringent criteria on the healthcare industry, our Validation Team have proven they can help our customers at every stage of their product’s lifecycle.
