Bathing Water (Coastal-Sea) Suite
- Coastal bathing waters (sea) are analysed for presence of named pathogens, as specified in ‘The Bathing Water Regulations 2013’.
- The named pathogens include E.coli/Coliforms & Intestinal Enterococci which signify presence of faecal contamination. Raw sewage can be permitted to be discharged at sea following certain weather events, this contaminates the sea water with faecal matter, which in high concentrations can cause a health risk to swimmers/bathers.
- This suite is ideal for measuring local sea waters in relation to the Bathing Water Regulation classification table (waters rated as Excellent, Good or Sufficient depending on bacterial concentration). Sample tested for: E.coli/Coliforms & Intestinal Enterococci
